Travel Power Move

I’m not sure if this is more a sign of a pro traveler or a weary one, but today is our last day on the cruise and also a port day in a city we’ve never visited. The port town is Livorno, and people get off the ship to visit Pisa, Florence, or even Cinque Terre. None of those things is terribly convenient to do from Livorno, though, and tomorrow we’ll be getting off the ship at 8:30am. So for the first time in my life, I made the executive decision to just say “screw it” and stay on the ship. No exploring a new place. No hunting for our souvenir patch. I’m just skipping an entire region!

It feels weird, but having had a day to re-organize our stuff and just sit, I know I’ve made the right choice. That leaning tower will just have to hold itself up until we can make our way back to it and pretend to hold it up in cheesy pictures.
