Worldschool Theology Lesson
We took Story to Sagrada Familia today. Sagan wasn't feeling well, so he'll go sometime later this week. It was amazing, and everyone should see it before they die. I took a million pictures that couldn't possibly capture it, but I don't care. I'm still going to make you look at them.
Aside from the mind-blowing art and architecture, the cathedral naturally led to some religious discussion.
Looking at a sculpture of Judas kissing Jesus…
Story: “Was Judith bad?”
Me: “Judas. Not Judith.”
Story: “Okay, whatever. Was she bad?”
Me: “Judas was a man.”
Story: “Jesus was GAY?!”
So yeah, we're nailing this homeschooling thing over here. Now here are those pictures I promised you.
Our tips for visiting Sagrada Familia:
1) Do it.
2) Go late in the day for the best lighting. Early in the mornings might also be good, but yuck, mornings.
3) Bring a good camera.
4) If you can find your way to it, start with the museum part and work backwards.
5) Download the audio guide before you go, through the Sagrada Familia app. It's really interesting.
6) Take your sweet time.
7) If you will have a curious child with you, brush up on your catechism.
